1. Remove the steaming container from the main unit and clean the steaming container
and the lid with warm water and mild washing-up liquid. The steaming container and
the lid can be cleaned in the dishwasher. However, please note that the transparent
surfaces may become cloudy after frequent cleaning in the dishwasher.
2. Remove the drip tray and clean it with warm water and a mild washing-up liquid. The
drip tray can be cleaned in the dishwasher. However, please note that the surfaces
can lose their shine as a result of frequent cleaning in the dishwasher.
3. Remove the water from the main unit by pouring it into the sink! Be careful when pour-
ing out the water, because shortly after the device has been used it can still be hot!
4. As required, wipe down the main unit with a moist cloth and a mild washing-up liquid.
5. Store the device in a clean, dry place after cleaning.
Descaling the water reservoir
CAUTION!
You should only use white household vinegar for descaling!
Do not use industrial descaling agents!
With frequent use chalk deposits can collect in the water reservoir. If you discover such
deposits the water reservoir can be de-scaled as follows:
1. Place the device on a dry, heat and moisture-resistant fl at surface.
2. Fill the water reservoir with household vinegar up to the MAX marking.
3. Place the drip tray into the device.
4. Place both steaming containers and the lid on the main unit.
5. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed 220 - 240 volt plug socket.
6. Set the timer to 25 minutes.
7. When the pre-set time has expired you remove the mains plug from the socket and
allow the device to cool down completely.
8. When the device has cooled down completely, remove the steaming containers and
the drip tray and pour the vinegar into a sink.
9. Rinse the water reservoir with cold water several times.
