6.4 SNMP

The Simple Network Management Protocol is a protocol to centrally monitor and control network devices, like
router, server, switches, printers etc. Activate the option if you use a SNMP management server within your
network. You can also use a software solution, which is installed on your PC.
„Enable SNMPv1, SNMPv2c": Here you can set the names of write/read groups depending on the settings
of your SNMP server.
„Enable SNMPv3": If your SNMP server supports SNMP protocol version3 the status request can be
transmitted encrypted. In order to perform an encrypted request the encryption algorithm and the password of
the network camera have to be entered for
<URL>http://<network camera>/setup/snmp.html
< network camera > is the IP-address or hostname of the network camera.

6.5 Network

6.5.1 Network settings

All changes made on this page cause a system reboot so that they can take effect. Make sure that the fields
are correctly filled before you click "Save".
„LAN": The default setting is LAN. Use the setting if you have connected the camera with a LAN cable. Futher
settings like IP address and subnet mask.
„Get IP address automatically ": After every reboot the network camera receives automatically a new IP
address from the DHCP server.
„Use fixed IP address ": Here you can set a permanent IP address.
"IP-Address": This is used for network identification.
"Subnet mask": The default setting is 255.255.255.0. The subnet mask verifies if the target is within the same
subnet mask.
