Fine Tuning of the Helicopter

If the nod or roll trim must be adjusted a lot fort he helicopter to hover stably, you can also mechanically adjust the
swash plate linkage.
For this, remove the four rubber rings from the retention bots and lift the canopy off of the two retention bolts on the
right and left. Observe that the small attachment discs (see figure 17, item 1) on which the canopy is placed are not
lost.
The swash plate is controlled by two linkage rods (2) at
the front with one ball joint ring (3) each.
These rings can be carefully removed from the joint
balls of the swash disc.
If you turn the joint ring on the linkage rod, the rods can
be extended or shortened, depending on rotational
direction. Then the joint ring is attached to the swash
disc ball again carefully.
The left linkage lever (4) of the swash plate in flight
direction is responsible for the roll function. If the linkage
rod is shortened, the helicopter flies to the left. If the
linkage rod is extended, the helicopter flies to the right.
Figure 17
The right linkage lever (5) of the swash plate in flight
direction is responsible for the nod function.
If the linkage rod is shortened, the helicopter flies forwards. If the linkage rod is extended, the helicopter flies backwards.
Set the linkage rods so that the model helicopter hovers stably without any large adjustments of the nod and roll trim
out of the centre position being required.
