It has all the features you'd expect from the latest technology
and is designed for ease of operation. If you have any questions
or if you experience problems with your Portable Pediatric Scale
that are not dealt with in the operating instructions, please call
a Health o meter® Professional customer service representative

Purpose
This Health o meter® Professional Pediatric Scale is designed
for weighing infants. It is portable and intended to be used
without requiring approval.

Safety instructions

This scale is designed to be used indoors. Please read the
information contained in the operating instructions before you
switch this device on. They provide important advice on the
correct usage and maintenance of this portable scale. The
manufacturer accepts no liability if the following instructions are
not followed. This scale meets the requirements for electromag-
netic compatibility. Avoid exceeding the maximum values
specified in the standards. If problems arise, please contact
your Health o meter® Professional customer service represen-
tative.
Cleaning
A damp cloth and a commercially available cleaning agent are
all that are required to clean your scale regularly. Do not use
abrasive cleaners. High levels of humidity, vapor and aggressive
liquids should be avoided.
Maintenance
Calibration for measuring accuracy was completed at the
factory. This scale does not require routine maintenance.
However, it is advisable to check its accuracy periodically. The
frequency of these checks depends on your frequency of use
and the state of the scale. If you find any discrepancies (at 15
kg ≥ 50 g) you should contact a Health o meter® Professional
representative. Repairs or warranty replacements must be
authorized by a Health o meter® Professional customer service
representative in advance.
Note
This device is a measuring instrument. Vibrations, drafts or
rapid changes in temperature and direct sunlight can affect the
weighing results. This device is interference-free. However,
under extreme electrostatic an electromagnetic interference
(e.g. when operating a radio or mobile phone in the immediate
vicinity of the device), the displayed value can be falsified. After
the interference has ended, the product can be used again as
intended, though it may be necessary to turn it off and switch it
on again. The scale complies with protection class IP 54. High
levels of humidity, vapor, aggressive liquids and heavy dirt
should be avoided.

Warranty/liability
The warranty period is 2 years and starts on the day of
purchase. Please keep your invoice as proof of purchase. All
returns must be in original packaging or equivalent and must be
returned to Pelstar, LLC FREIGHT PREPAID. Pelstar, LLC shall
have the sole right to determine if merchandise is defective and
whether credit or replacement will be issued. If the product is
no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar
product of equal or greater value. All parts, including repaired
and replaced parts, are covered only for the original warranty
period. No returns will be accepted without prior written
authorization. Call the Returned Goods Department at
800-815-6615 for your Return Authorization (RA).
Note: the Return Authorization (RA) Number must appear near
the shipping label, on the outside of the shipping box.
If there is a defect in the materials or workmanship or the
product fails to function properly, return the product, FREIGHT
PREPAID, to Pelstar, LLC. If the company determines that a
defect in material or workmanship exists, the customer's sole
remedy will be repair or replacement of the scale at no charge.
Dealers that sell Pelstar products do not have the right to alter,
modify or in any way change the terms and conditions of this
product warranty.
Neither credit nor replacement will be issued for this product
beyond the warranty period. If a scale is no longer covered by
this warranty, or has been damaged in use, an estimate of
repair or replacement costs will be provided to you prior to
servicing or replacement. No warranty is offered on damage
arising from unsuitable or incorrect storage, improper use by
the client or by a third party, natural wear, modifications or
interventions, incorrect or negligent handling, particularly
excessive stress or weight in excess of the maximum the scale
is designed for, electro-chemical, chemical or electrical influenc-
es or high humidity insofar as these cannot be traced back to
fault on the manufacturer. If operational, climatic or other user
influences lead to product damage, the warranty for the correct
overall function of the device shall no longer apply.
Disposing of the scale
According to our current level of knowledge, this
Health o meter® Professional Portable Pediatric
Scale does not contain any special materials that
are hazardous to the environment. This product
should not be treated as normal refuse, but should be sent to a
collection point for recycling electrical and electronic devices.
For further information, contact your local authority, a local
waste disposal business or the dealer from whom you
purchased the product.
Disposing of batteries: Batteries do not belong with regular
waste.Used batteries can be sent to public collection points in
your locality.
