Battery status display of the interlink module
A permanently illuminated yellow battery indicator on the module me-
ans that the battery is nearly depleted. The smoke detector must be
replaced. This indicator is only visible when the base is removed. A
short flash of the battery status display during transmissions can be
ignored.
Battery status indication via the Signolux receivers
The smoke detector has two fixed batteries: One for the detector itself
and one for powering the module. Should any one of these batteries
be depleted the detector MUST be replaced. The maximum life of the
detector internal batteries is 10 years.
After this time, due to the build up of residue on the sensor, the detector
should be replaced anyway.
A blinking battery status lamp of the signolux-receivers in your system,
when testing the detector, indicates that the module feeder battery in
the detector has gone below its optimum and the detector should be
replaced as soon as possible.
The main indicator on the case of the detector will start to blink if the de-
tector's main battery is low. The signolux-receivers also indicate this
by lighting the assigned alarm symbol. Please note that the smoke de-
