• Keep battery charger dry. Avoid exposing battery
pack to rain or wet conditions.
• To reduce risk of damage to electric plug and cord,
pull by plug rather than cord when disconnecting
charger.
• Do not operate charger with damaged plug or cord.
The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is
damaged, the charger should be replaced imme-
diately.
• Do not operate charger if it has received a sharp
blow, been dropped, or otherwise damaged in any
way. If charger is damaged it must be replaced.
Charger is not serviceable.
• Do not disassemble charger; or attempt to service.
• To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug charger
from outlet before cleaning.
• Do not short circuit; never place any object into the
battery contacts.
• The charger is not intended for use by persons (in-
cluding children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervi-
sion or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the charger.
When Storing Battery Pack

Before Performing Adjustments Or Repairs
Remove battery pack from engine battery tray.
WARNING
Battery chemicals are toxic and corrosive.
Fire or explosion can cause severe burns or death.
• Never burn or incinerate discarded or used battery
packs as they may explode. Toxic fumes and ma-
terials are created when battery packs are burned.
• Do not use a battery that has been crushed,
dropped or damaged.
Warning! This electric tool generates an electromag-
netic field during operation. This field can impair ac-
tive or passive medical implants under certain condi-
tions. In order to prevent the risk of serious or deadly
injuries, we recommend that persons with medical
implants consult with their physician and the manu-
facturer of the medical implant prior to operating the
electric tool.
The following must not use the machine:
• Children and other people who do are not familiar
with the operating manual (local stipulations may
specify a minimum age for users).
• People under the influence of alcohol, drugs and
medication, as well as those who are tired or ill.
Safety instructions for handoperated lawn mowers
Note
• Read the directions with due care. Familiarize your-
self with the settings and proper operation of the
machine.
• Never allow children or other persons who are not
familiar with the operating instructions to use the
mower. Contact your local governmental agency
for information regarding minimum age require-
ments for operating the mower.
• Never mow in the direct vicinity of persons - espe-
cially children - or animals. Always keep in mind
that the operator is responsible for accidents in-
volving other persons and/or their property.
• If you give the equipment to any other person, give
them these operating instructions as well.
• Make sure that you are properly dressed when
mowing. Wear sturdy, non-slip footwear; do not
wear sandals or tennis shoes.
• Check the grounds on which the machine will be
used and remove all objects that could be caught
up and violently flung out of the chute.(Like stones,
toys, sticks and wires etc.)
• Switch off the engine and pull the spark plug boot
and make sure that all moving parts have come to
a standstill:
- Before you dislodge any blockages or clogs in
the chute.
- Before carrying out any checks, cleaning, main-
tenance or other work on the lawn mower
- If the lawn mower strikes a foreign body, examine
it for signs of damage and carry out any neces-
sary repairs before restarting and continuing to
work with the mower. If the lawn mower begins
to experience exceptionally strong vibrations, im-
mediately switch it off and check it.
- When you leave the lawn mower.
- Before you refuel.
m WARNING
Petrol is highly flammable! Therefore:
• Only store petrol in containers designed to hold pe-
troleum-based liquids.
• Only refuel out in the open and do not smoke during
the refueling process.
• Always refuel the lawn mower before starting the
engine. Always ensure that the fuel tank cap is
closed when the engine is running and when the
mower is hot; also do not refuel.
• If petrol has overflowed, do not under any circum-
stances attempt to start the engine. Instead, re-
move the machine from the affected area. Avoid
starting the engine until the petrol fumes have com-
pletely evaporated.
