6. Before using the ap-
pliance for the fi rst
time
6.1. Positioning the charging
station
Position the charging station on a wall
with a level surface and avoid direct sun-
light.
Ensure that the required clearance of
approx. . m to the sides and approx. .
m to the front is maintained and that the
charging contacts for the robot vacuum
cleaner are freely accessible.

Connect the mains adapter to the mains
adapter connection on the charging station.
Connect the mains adapter to a socket.

Remove the two transport locks on the
impact sensors (bumpers) before use.

6.2. Charging the batt ery
pack
The robot vacuum cleaner is fitted with a lith-
ium-ion battery pack. Charge the appliance
battery block for at least hours the first time
it is used to ensure that the full performance
and longevity of the rechargeable battery is
reached.
Place the robot vacuum cleaner onto the
charging station so that the charging
contacts lie on top of each other.
When the battery block is fully charged and
charging is complete, the operating light
lights up continuously.
6.3. Inserting batt eries in the
remote control
Remove the battery compartment cover
on the back of the remote control.

Insert two AAA/. V batteries in the bat-
tery compartment of the remote control.
Check the battery polarity (as shown on
the bottom of the battery compartment).
Close the battery compartment.
