Possible causes / Solutions
The drum is not cleaned regularly.
Odours and layers of bacteria form
on the surface of the drum as a
result of continuous washing at
low temperatures and/or short
programmes.

• A higher temperature has been
selected.
• The amount of detergent, brand,
and storage conditions used are not
appropriate.
• The detergent was put in the
wrong compartment.
• The pump filter is clogged.
• The drain hose is bent.

Clean the drum regularly.
Leave the detergent drawer and
the machine door slightly open
after each wash. This will prevent
a humid environment which
encourages the formation of
bacteria from developing inside the
machine.
• Do not overload the machine.
• Keep detergents closed in a
moisture-free environment and
avoid exposing them to excessive
temperatures.
• Select the right programme and
temperature for the type and degree
of soiling of the laundry.
• Use an appropriate detergent
for the machine and your laundry.
