Note: Use a saw chain gauge to
determine the corresponding file
size.
– Insert the file in the file handle (11).
– Loosen the file fixing screws (1), insert the
file, and tighten it hand-tight with the file
fixing screws (1).
CAUTION! Product damage! Make
y » sure that the fixing screws (1) are
clamped only to the bare side of the
file.

– Place the mounting base (2) on the saw
rail.
– Slightly engage the mounting base (2)
using the wing screw (A).
– Align the chain guides (3) in such a way
that they engage the centre of the tooth.
– Position the tooth against the tooth
stop (4).
– Fix the tooth with the wing screw (B) in a
hand-tight manner.
– Tighten the fixing screw (6) in a hand-tight
manner.
Operation
CAUTION! Product damage! The
teeth of the chain must be sharpened
alternatingly. An incorrect sharpen-
ing angle can render the chain unus-
able. Always remove only as little
material as possible and keep the
working time per tooth as brief as
possible.
Adjusting the angle
Note: S You can find the corre-
sponding angle in the information of
the technical literature or of the man-
ufacturer of your saw chain.
Note: Use a saw chain gauge to
deter- mine the corresponding angle.
► P. 3, item 4
– Loosen the knurled screw for angle
adjustment (7).
– Adjust the angle (0°-35°) by turning the
unit.
• Both sides are adjustable.
– Fix the angle by tightening the knurled
screw for angle adjustment (7).
Note: The angle can be set for both
sides. The unit does not have to be
disassembled to change an angle.
