General safety instructions
• For safe handling of the product, the user
must have read and understood the oper-
ating instructions before first use.
• Observe all safety instructions!
• If you do not observe the safety instruc-
tions you will endanger yourself and oth-
ers.
• Keep all instructions for use and safety
instructions for future reference.
• Attach the instructions for use, if you pass
on the product.
• Children must be kept away from the
product. Store the product in a place
where it is safe from children and unau-
thorized persons.
• All parts of the product, especially safety
devices, must be correctly installed to
ensure faultless operation.
• Conversions, independent modifications
to the product and the use of non-
approved parts are not permitted.
• The product must only be put into opera-
tion if no defects are found. If the product
or part of the product is defective, have it
repaired by an expert.
• Always observe the applicable national
and international safety, health and labour
regulations.
• Always make sure that the standing posi-
tion is natural and secured while working.
• Do not overload the product. Use the
product only for the purposes for which it
is intended.
• Persons unable to safely and carefully
use the product due to a lack of physical,
psychological and neural capabilities may
not use the product.
• Always work with caution and only when
you are in good physical condition: Work-
ing under the effects of fatigue, illness,
alcohol, medication and drugs is irrespon-
sible, as you are no longer able to safely
operate the product.
Operation/workplace
• No tools, objects or cables may be left
lying in the work area around the product.
• Make sure there is sufficient lighting dur-
ing operation.
• Young people under 18 years of age and
users who are not sufficiently acquainted
with its operation, must not use the prod-
uct.
• Keep children and other persons away
when using the product. Distractions may
cause you to lose control of the product.
Severe injury would be the consequence.
• The immediate environment must be free
of highly flammable and explosive materi-
als.
• The saw chain must always be tightly
clamped.
