8. Assembling the model
Before assembling the model, please read through each individual section carefully. The construction phases are illustrated for better understanding.
Please note that the numbers in the text always refer to the components in the illustration to the right.
Only carry out the described steps in the individual sections if you have completely understood the procedure and know exactly what to pay
attention to.
a) Installing the wings
Attach the wing (1) from the side to the designated support on the fuselage (2).
Make sure that the wing is attached to the fuselage aligned in centre.
Measure the distance from the two wing ends to the vertical stabiliser (see
indicated auxiliary lines A) to make sure the wing is properly aligned. Use a
ruler or a piece of string to measure the distance.
Both distances (A) must be identical.
When the unit is properly aligned, glue the wing to the fuselage using 5-minute
epoxy glue. Excess glue at connection points must be wiped off immediately
with a paper towel or cloth.
b) Installing the elevator unit
The elevator unit (1) is installed to the fuselage (2) in the same way the wings
are installed.
Attach the elevator unit to the fuselage from the back and make sure it is aligned
in centre.
Use a ruler or a piece of string to make sure that the distances from the ends of
the elevator unit to the wings (see auxiliary line A) are identical. Also check if
the distance from the elevator unit to the fuselage end is identical (see auxiliary
line B).
When the unit is properly aligned, glue the elevator unit to the fuselage using 5-
minute epoxy glue. Excess glue at connection points must be wiped off
immediately with a paper towel or cloth.
