This flaring tool can only process lines with a diameter of 4.75 mm (3/16''). Prepare the line for flaring
as described above. For illustration purposes the pictures show the flaring device without the top
pressure piece.

The end of the brake line must be cut off at a right angle.
The end of the line must be deburred.
If the brake line is sheathed in plastic, remove about 3 mm of the plastic from the brake
line. Do this carefully and make sure you do not score or damage the bared brake line.
Do not use any abrasives or polishes. Blow off to remove all remnants and dirt after
crimping.

Spacing screw
First decide on the flaring standard you want to use – SAE or DIN. Then select the clamping
piece set and screw it hand-tight to the handle.
