Power switch (POWER)
After pressing the switch, the WAIT meesage will appear in the
counter dispisy and the level meter scale will flash for about
four seconds (the time necessary for circuitry to stabilize}. Dur-
ing the time the display is flashing, no operating buttons will
respond, with the exception of the cassette door open/close
button (4). To close the cassette door, do it while the power
is turned on.
TIMER mode/repeat play switch
(TIMER REC/OFF/PLAY-REPEAT)
REC:
Set to this position to perform timer recording.
OFF:
Set to this position under ordinary conditions, (when not
using the timer or repeat functions).
PLAY-REPEAT:
Set to this pasition to perform timer playback. When the
switch is set to this position during normal playback, re-
peat playback of a single tape can be performed,
Counter mode button (COUNTER MODE)
Each time this button is pressed, one of the three modes (Nor-
mal tape counter/Timer
counter/Remaining
time counter)
is
set in sequence (see page 79).

Level meter hoid mode button (METER HOLD MODE)

Selects the display mode of the peak level.
When press this bution so that the PEAK HOLD indicator lights
up, the leve

the PEAK HOLD indicator goes off, the level
meter holds peak indications for about 1.2 second

In addition to the peak level display noted above, the button
can also be used with the peak level calibration system to ad-
just tape recording levels {see page 26}.
@® Interrupteur d'alimentation (POWER)
Apres avoir appuyé sur cet interrupteur, le message WAIT appa-
rait sur l'affichage du compteur et I'échelle du vumétre clignote
pendant environ quatre secondes (le temps nécessaire 4 la sta-
bilisation des circuits). Pendant que Vatfichage clignote, aucune
touche de fonction ne répond, 4 l'exception de la touche d'ou-
verture/fermeture de la porte de cassette (&). Fermer la porte
de cassette pendant que |'alimentation est en circuit,
PLAY-REPEAT:
Le régler sur cette position pour effectuer une lecture par
minuterie.
