Fitting
Mounting the handle
Note: All mounting steps must be per-
formed on both sides.

– Position the bottom part of the handle bar (3) into
the locators on the product and tighten with
screws (17).
– Position the middle part of the handle bar (8) onto
the bottom part of the handle bar and push
through the carriage bolts (18).
– Position the toggle nuts (19) and tighten.

– Position the handle bar (2) onto the middle part of
the handle bar and push through the carriage
bolts (20).
– Position the toggle nuts (21) and tighten.
– Clip the cable into the cable clamps (22).
Mounting the collection box

– Pull the collecting bag (23) over the wire bar (24)
as shown.
– Slide the rubber lips (25) onto the wire bar (24)
and allow to engage.
Using for the first time
Charging the battery pack
Note: The device is operated with two
20 V batteries. Use rechargeable batter-
ies with the same charge level and capac-
ity for optimum performance.
Note: Rechargeable battery and charger
are not part of the scope of delivery and
are available optionally from your dealer
(► Accessories – p. 32).
WARNING! Risk of injury! Comply with
all safety instructions when handling
rechargeable devices.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit!
Do not allow the battery pack to deep dis-
charge.
Note: The Li-Ion battery pack can be
charged at any time without affecting the
lifetime of the unit. Interrupting the charg-
ing process will not damage the battery
pack.
• The battery pack must be charged prior to the first
start-up (charging time: ► Technical data – 
p. 32).

– Press in the locking button (14) and remove the
battery from the device.

– Insert the battery pack into the charger.
– Plug the charger into the power supply.
The charging status is displayed by the control
lights (15).
– Slot the battery pack into the device and make
sure it clicks into place correctly.
Checking the remaining capacity of the battery
– Press the button (13).
The remaining capacity of the battery is displayed by
the control lights (12).
Operation
Check before use!
DANGER! Danger of injury! Do not
operate the machine unless you did not
find any faults. If a part has become
defective, make sure to replace it before
you use the machine again.
Check the safe condition of the machine:
– Check it for visual defects.
– Check that all parts of the machine have been
securely fitted.
Changing the working roller
DANGER! Danger of injury! Always dis-
connect the mains plug before all work on
the machine (ensure that there is no cur-
rent to the machine).
