4.3 Basic adjustment of the browband
Besides adjusting the height of the cradle net there are also various possibilities of
adjusting the browband. The height of the browband can be fixed in three positions.
The easiest way is to set the hat size setting to the minimum size.
Turn the size adjuster to "minimum".
Afterwards pull the shaft of the size adjustment from the settings knob.
Then unfasten the four bands connecting the headband and helmet band.
The complete headband can then be removed from the helmet by turning it 90°.
Now the stud in the brow area can be positioned to the corresponding height (three
possible settings). Afterwards the headband can be reinstalled in the reverse order
(turn 90°, refasten the connecting bands, insert the shaft back into the settings
knob).
CAUTION: When inserting the stud in the brow area check for
proper seating before turning 90° - this will reliably avoid
damage.
For very small head sizes it is possible to set a basic setting
for smaller head circumferences. In order to do this the
headband must be removed from the helmet as described
previously.
Then the headband cover must be opened (Velcro) in the front (overlapping of cloth
parts).
This enables access to
the two adjustment spots.
By turning the browband
by about 90° it can be
unfastened and fixed in
