WARNING: Use this helmet only if you have read and understood the entire user
information. Misuse of the helmet or non-observance of the user information can lead
to serious injuries or even death!
1.2 The HEROS Smart fire fighting helmet must be stored, handled, inspected and
maintained as described in this user manual. If possible, store the HEROS Smart
helmet in a space which is protected from light and moisture (e.g. wall closet or
similar) in order to prevent premature aging. Especially a prolonged exposure to UV
radiation must be avoided.
1.3 All repair, exchange and service work on the HEROS Smart fire fighting helmet may
only be performed after adequate training according to these instructions A log of
all activities must be kept. Fundamental maintenance and repair work that is not
described in these user information may only be performed by qualified personnel
authorized by Rosenbauer.
1.4 The helmet shell and liner should be inspected for damage at least before and after
every operation. Especially the tight fit of all screws should checked. If excessive
damage (strain) has been done to the helmet shell, helmet liner, chin strap or other
parts, they must be replaced immediately in order to continue to fulfill the defined
protective function. Only original spare parts may be used for the maintenance of
the HEROS Smart fire fighting helmet. Modifications made to the helmet shell after
production, e.g. painting, unauthorized stickers, can change the properties of the
material and are prohibited or must be coordinated with Rosenbauer beforehand.
No modifications may be made to the helmet shell or helmet liner.
WARNING: Modifications to the helmet shell or helmet liner can affect the protective
function of the helmet, causing serious injuries or even death and are therefore
prohibited.
1.5 The sole responsibility for adhering to the above-mentioned points 1.1 to 1.5 lies
with the user of the HEROS Smart helmet.
WARNING: If the instructions in this user information are not followed, Rosenbauer
cannot guarantee that the HEROS Smart fire fighting helmet functions without trouble!
These instructions do not extend the liability and warranty conditions of Rosenbauer.
1.6 The HEROS Smart fire fighting helmet was designed according to the applicable
standards; however, does not provide a guarantee that injuries are excluded.
WARNING: The helmet absorbs energy when subjected to excessive strain, which can
cause damage to the helmet, and as a result, adversely affect its protective function.
