8 . Maintenance and cleaning
Clean the smoker after each use, this will prolong the life of the smoker and prevent the formation of mould and rust.
Start cleaning the smoker by unplugging it from the power supply, extinguishing the smoke generator and cooling all
metal parts to ambient temperature. The next step is to disconnect the smoke generator. Wash the generator according
to the instructions given in its user manual. Then remove the wooden chamber from the metal base and clean its surface.
In order to maintain the proper functioning of the smoker, it is recommended to clean the inside of it as well. Using a
wet cloth, remove any dirt remaining on the bottom of the smoker. It is not recommended to use any chemicals to clean
the wood inside the smoker. It is particularly important to clean the control panel probe thoroughly after each use -
preferably with the specialist, highly effective 'Smoker cleaning liquid' available from Browin.
The discolouration of wood that occurs during smoking is the result of natural processes.
We recommend protecting the outer surface of the smokehouse chamber with edible oil or a natural impregnation, e.g.
linseed oil. We recommend refreshing the protective coating at least once a year.
Before disposing of the product, it is mandatory to dismantle electrical devices and follow the rules for handling used
electrical and electronic equipment, which are regulated by the Act of 11 September 2015:

Every household uses electrical and electronic appliances, and thus is a potential source of waste, hazardous to humans
and the environment, due to the presence of hazardous substances, mixtures, and components in the equipment. On
the other hand, discarded equipment is a valuable resource from which raw materials like copper, tin, glass,
iron, and others can be recovered.
The symbol of the crossed out wheelie bin placed on the equipment, packaging, or documentation attached to
it, means that the product must not be disposed of together with other waste. The labelling simultaneously
means that the equipment was introduced to the market after the date of August 13th, 2005.
It is the responsibility of the user to transfer the used equipment to a designated collection point for proper recycling.
Information on the available collection system for electrical equipment can be found in the shop's information and at the
municipal office. Proper handling of discarded equipment prevents negative consequences for the environment and
human health.
