4.2. Brakes
You can adjust the brake line length depending on the height of the anchor points
of your harness or your preferences. Adjustments should be made equally on both
sides and not to exceed a variation of +/- 5cm from the factory settings. Too short
brakes can lead to fatigue due to the high arm position, reduce your glider's speed
range, and compromise the pilot's ability to control the wing in extreme flight
regimes. Brakes too long can hinder command of the paraglider during takeoff,
reduce effective in-flight pilot inputs, and make it difficult to execute a good
landing. If adjusting your brakes, we recommend doing it in small steps. If you
need to recover the initial setting and the black mark on the line is no longer visible,
use the lengths shown on the line plan. Each brake handle must be securely
attached to the main line. Only use knots that guarantee a "bomb-proof"
attachment such as a bowline backed-up by a single stop knot.
