When the display appears in full, first
release the MAXHLD button and then the
ON/OFF button
The automatic switch-off is decommis-
sioned, the device remains switched on
until the ON/OFF button is pressed.
Handling
Never operate the unit immediately after bringing it from a cold into a warm area. The
resulting condensation water could damage the unit.
Allow the unit to come to room temperature before switching it on. Wait until
condensation evaporates.
Avoid operation under unfavourable ambient conditions. These will result in damage
to the sensitive electronics inside the measuring device or sensor.
Unfavourable ambient conditions include:
• excessive humidity (> 90 % relative humidity),
• moisture
• dust and combustible gases, fumes or solvents
• excessive ambient temperatures (> +50°)
• excessively low ambient temperatures (< 0 °C)
Never expose yourself to high sound levels without officially approved,
tested hearing protection. Otherwise, your hearing may be damaged.
Replace the device in the carrying case for storage. This will protect
the device from damage.
RS232 interface
The device has an interface which works according to the RS232 standard.
The sound level meter can be connected to a computer via this interface. The deter-
mined data can be stored in the computer. The relevant connection cable and soft-
ware are available.
The switch-off function is automati-
cally reactivated when the device is
next switched on.
