The sand filter system should be cleaned at regular intervals.
8.1 FUNCTIONS OF THE 7-WAY VALVE
Important: Always switch off the pump before moving the valve from one position to the next.

RECIRCULATE/ZIRKULIEREN:
the water recirculates through the pool system without running through the filter.
RINSE/SPÜLEN:
For performing residual cleaning and re-compacting the filter material. The water is discharged
via the drain. Duration: approx. 30 - 60 seconds. Perform after each backwashing process. This
makes sure that all the dirty water from the backwash is flushed out of the filter, preventing any
possible backflow into the pool.
FILTER:
Set the filter to "standard operation". In this way, the water is cleaned in the circuit with the pool.
Use this position even when cleaning the base.
WASTE/ABLAUF:
To bypass the filter for draining or lowering the water level and for sucking up larger debris directly
into the drain.
CLOSED/GESCHLOSSEN:
Interrupts the flow from the pump to the filter.
BACKWASH/RÜCKSPÜLEN:
NOTE: Backwash must not be activated when using filter balls!
To clean the filter, the water flows through the filter in the opposite direction and is discharged via
the drain. At least once a week for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the degree of soiling; after each
cleaning of the floor, and when the water flow decreases or the water pressure in the filter tank
deviates by more than 10 psi (0.7 bar) from the pressure when clean. Proceed with RINSE.
