• Do not install the appliance under the ground!
• Chemical products (e.g. water treatment products such as chlorine etc.) may damage and
weaken your system. These products should not be kept or stored near the plant.
• No changes whatsoever should be made to the filter system. This is the only way in which
safety and a long service life can be guaranteed.
• The pump is not suitable for pumping faeces or flammable, corrosive, explosive or other
dangerous liquids. The pumped liquid must not exceed the specified maximum temperature!
• WARNING! Ensure the electrical parts of the pump do not come into contact with water. Risk
of death!
• Dry running (operating the pump without pumping water) must be avoided as a lack of water
causes the pump to overheat. This can cause considerable damage to the appliance.
• It is absolutely forbidden to insert your hands into the opening of the pump when the appliance
is connected to the mains.
• Whenever the pump is put into operation, ensure that it is installed in a safe, stable manner.
The appliance must always be placed on level ground and in an upright position.
• Visually inspect the pump before each use.
• The product requires a power supply of 220 – 240 V ~ 50 Hz. Please check that the appropriate
power supply is available before use.
• Be sure to disconnect the power supply before dismantling/reassembling or adjusting the
product.
• To avoid danger in the event that the appliance gets damaged, contact our Customer Service
team or send the appliance to one of our authorised service centres for replacement, and do
not attempt to replace it without our authorisation.
2.2 GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION FOR THE ELECTRICAL
SYSTEM
• WARNING! Read all the safety information and instructions. Failure to follow the safety
information and instructions may cause electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
• Ensure that water cannot get inside the appliance. Never immerse the appliance in water or
other liquids. Never expose it to rain.
• Do not use the appliance if the power plug, power cord or any other part of the appliance is
defective or damaged.
• Do not remove the power plug from the socket by pulling on the power cord.
• Never insert or remove the power plug with wet hands.
• This appliance is not intended for use by people (including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised
by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions from them on how to use
the appliance. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Do not use any electrical appliances in potentially explosive environments e.g. in the presence
of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Electrical appliances produce sparks that can ignite dust or
exhaust fumes.
2.3 ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• The plugs of electrical appliances must be compatible with the socket. Never change the plug.
Do not use adapter plugs with earthed electrical appliances. Original plugs and matching
sockets reduce the risk of electric shock.
