7.0 CONSTRUCTION (graphic on pages 3 - 5)
Note: You can also fill the filter tank with filter sand or filter glass instead of the included filter balls.
1.
Attach the pump to the base by pulling it onto the groove along the dotted line as shown in
the illustration until it engages firmly.
2.
Insert the O-rings into the connection adapters and fit them to the pump inlet and outlet
openings. Also seal all the threaded connections with Teflon tape. Take care when connecting
to avoid damaging the plastic connections.
3.
Mount the drainage nozzle on the filter tank as shown, making sure that the seals are in the
correct position.
Place the riser pipe with filter basket in the centre of the filter tank as shown in the image.
4.
Then fill the filter tank with the desired filter medium.
NOTE: Make sure that the maximum fill level is not exceeded.
NOTE: Make sure that nothing enters the opening of the riser pipe.
Filter balls: Simply add these to the filter tank (filling quantity is approx. 320 g of filter balls).
Quartz sand: Place the filling funnel over the filter tank opening and pour the quartz sand
into the filter tank (filling quantity is approx. 13.6 kg of quartz sand).
5.
Place the filter tank in the base. (The drainage nozzle must point outwards).
6.
Fit the pressure gauge on the valve head by removing the existing sealing plug. Wrap the
Teflon tape over the pressure gauge thread anti-clockwise and tighten the pressure gauge.
7.
Remove the filling funnel. IMPORTANT – make sure that the top rim of the filter tank is clean.
Place the O-ring on the valve head and position it in such a way that the riser pipe fits in the
centre opening.
Then attach the valve head together with the sealing flange to the filter tank (the arrow on
the "PUMP" connection on the valve head must point towards the pump outlet).
Important: Ensure that the sealing flange and the O-ring are fitted correctly.
8.
Insert the O-rings into the connection adapters and fit them to the valve head. Also seal all
the threaded connections with Teflon tape. Use the hose to connect the upper outlet of the
pump to the "PUMP" inlet of the valve head and fasten it securely using the hose clamps.
7.1 CONNECTION TO THE POOL
NOTE: Fix all connections with hose clamps!
• Inlet hose: Connect the hose (from the pool drain or skimmer) to the front connection of the
pool pump.
• Backflow hose: Hose ("POOL" connection on the valve head) for connection to the pool's inlet
nozzle.
• Drain hose: (required in conjunction with the backwash, drain and rinse function). The dirty
water is channelled into a sewer / drain (please observe your local regulations regarding this
matter). Make the connections with special swimming pool hoses and hose clamps.
NOTE: If you do not have a skimmer at your pool, proceed as described above, but the only
difference is that you have to hang the supply line in the pool instead of connecting the pump
supply line to the skimmer. Take care not to hang it too low. Contaminants that deposit on the
floor (e.g. leaves) must not be sucked in.
