DOUBLE-CHECK PIPE CONNECTIONS
During operation, the pressure of the refrigerant circuit will increase. This may reveal leaks that were not
present during your initial leak check. Take time during the Test Run to double-check that all refrigerant pipe
connection points do not have leaks. Refer to Gas Leak Check section for instructions.
5.
After the Test Run is successfully completed, and you confirm that all checks points in List of Checks to
Perform have PASSED, do the following:
a.
Using remote control, return unit to normal operating temperature.
b.
Using insulation tape, wrap the indoor refrigerant pipe connections that you left uncovered
during the indoor unit installation process.
IF AMBIENT TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 16°C (60°F)
You can't use the remote controller to turn on the COOL function when the ambient temperature is below
16° C. In this instance, you can use the MANUAL CONTROL button to test the COOL function.

Lift the front panel of the indoor unit, and raise it until it clicks in place.
2.
The MANUAL CONTROL button is located on the right-hand side of the unit. Press it 2 times to select the
COOL function.

Perform Test Run as normal.

WASTE DISPOSAL
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection
facilities. Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems
available. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substanc-
es can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health and
well-being. When replacing old appliances with new once, the retailer is legally obligated to
take back your old appliance for disposal at least for free of charge. Do not throw batteries
into the fire, where they can explode or release dangerous liquids. If you replace or destroy
the remote control, remove the batteries and throw them away in accordance with the appli-
cable regulations because they are harmful to the environment.
Environmental information: This equipment contains fluorinated greenhouse gases covered by the Kyoto
Protocol. It should only be serviced or dismantled by professional trained personnel.
