EXTRACTION GUIDELINES
Extracting the perfect espresso is an art and might take a couple of tries.
Make sure you have evenly tamped the right quantity of ground coffee and
be ready to adjust dose in the filter to be able to reach perfect extraction.
Perfect espresso
• Flow like warm honey
• Nut-brown Crema
• Well balanced and
lingering taste
Under extracted
• Flowing fast like water
• Light and pale Crema
To make it perfect:
• Make sure you are
using a fine ground for
espresso. If you are
grinding the beans
yourself, try a finer
setting on the grinder.
• Increase the quantity of
ground coffee and make
sure it is evenly tamped.

Over extracted
• Flowing in drips or
not at all
• Crema very dark and
not uniform
To make it perfect:
• The ground coffee
might be too fine. If you
are grinding the beans
yourself, try a coarser
setting on the grinder.
• Decrease the quantity
of ground coffee used.
