Shuffle Play Edit Mode
1. To play the discs and tracks in random order,
press the SHUFFFLE button.
2. Put a tape into the tape deck to record side A.
Set the tape deck to the record mode.
3. Press the PLAY button.
- The EDIT indicator remains on.
- The PLAY indicator lights.
- The EACH indicator lights.
- If one half of the length of the tape in minutes is
shorter than the playing time of the first track, normal
play will start rather than edit play.4. During edit play,
press the EDIT button to view the tape length.
- The DISC NUMBER and TRACK NUMBER dis-
play will show the tape length for approximately 10
seconds.
5. When all of the tracks to be recorded onto side A
have finishing playing:
-The PLAY indicator turns off and the PAUSE indi-
cator lights.
6. Put a tape into the tape deck to record side B.
Set the tape deck to record mode.
7. Press the PLAY button.
- The PAUSE indicator turns off and the PLAY indi-
cator lights.
8. Press the PAUSE button to temporarily stop play.
Press the PAUSE button again, or press the PLAY
button to continue.
9. When all the tracks to be recorded onto side B
have finished playing.
- The PLAY indicator turns off and the PAUSE indi-
cator lights.
10. To record another tape, repeat steps 2-9.
11. Press the STOP button to end edit play.
- The PLAY and EDIT indicators turn off.
NOTE:
- The PREVIEW feature cannot be operated during
edit play.
- The duration of the blank spaces, recorded
between selections programmed in edit play can be
reduced as follows: When the current disc and track
have finished playing, set the tape deck to the pause
mode as the carousel rotates to the next disc. When
rotation of the carousel stops, release the pause
mode and continue recording.
Changing the Tape Length
Tape lengths of C-1 to C-99 can be selected using
the ">>I" or "I<<" button or the remote control's
TRACK NUMBER button.
1. Press the ">>I" or "I<<" button or the remote con-
trol's TRACK NUMBER button(s) to select the
required tape length.
- The TRACK NUMBER display will show the tape
length.
2. Press the remote control's EDIT button.
- The DISC NUMBER and TRACK NUMBER dis-
plays will show the selected tape length for approxi-
mately 10 seconds.

PROGRAMMED DISC PLAY

NOTE: A program cannot be entered during PLAY
mode.
ENTERING A PROGRAM USING THE
REMOTE CONTROL.
1. Press the STOP button to clear any previously
selected function.
2. Press a DISC NO. (1-5) button to select a disc
number.
3. Press the ">>|" or |<<" button to select a track
number.
4. Press the PROGRAM button.
- The MEMORY indicator lights.
- The Time display shows "P-01
- If the PROGRAM button is pressed before a disc
number and a track number are selected, track 1 of
the displayed disc number is entered as program
selection number 1.
The first program selection is now stored in the pro-
gram memory.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 to enter additional selections
into the program.
6. To enter all of the tracks on a disc, select the
disc number with a DISC NO. button then press the
PROGRAM button.
- The TRACK NUMBER display shows "ALL"
7. Up to 32 selections can be entered into the pro-
gram memory for disc play in any order. If you try to
enter more selections, the TIME display shows
"FULL" for about 1 second.

CHANGING A PROGRAM

1. Display the selection to be changed by pressing
the REVIEW button.
2. Enter a new program selection.
NOTE:
- Track numbers which exceed the highest track on
a disc can be programmed, but during play these
tracks will be automatically deleted.
PLAYING A PROGRAM
1. Press the PLAY button after entering a program.
2. Programmed play starts from the beginning of
the first programmed track.
3. When the programmed play starts, all the
entered track Nos. are displayed and the number of
the track currently playing blinks.
4. When all of the programmed tracks have been
played, the CD changer will stop.
- The PLAY indicator goes OFF.
- The MEMORY indicator remains ON.
- The TIME display shows "P-01"
Example: To play track 5, track 2, and track 8 of
disc number 3, in that programmed order:
a) Enter the first track (5) and disc number (3) of
the program.
b) Enter the second track (2) of the program
c) Enter the third track (8) of the program
