Decommissioning
NOTICE
Material damage due to overheating
Liquid-cooled cable assemblies can leak if overheated.
► Allow the cooling unit to continue running for approx. 5 min. after the welding process.
1 Stop the welding process.
2 Wait for the gas post-flow time to expire and switch off the welding power
source.

Maintenance and cleaning
WARNING
Risk of injury from hot coolant
If the coolant hose loosens during or immediately after operation, coolant may spray out and cause burns or irritation to skin and mucous membranes.
► Allow welding torches and coolant to cool down.
► Check and wear your personal protective equipment.
WARNING
Risk of burns from hot surface
Welding torches become very hot during welding. This may result in serious burns.
► Allow welding torches to cool down after welding.
► Wear the correct protective gloves.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to unexpected start
If power is supplied during maintenance, cleaning or disassembly, parts can start running unexpectedly and lead to injuries.
► Switch off the device.
► Close all supply lines.
► Disconnect the electrical power supply.
The parts listed below are subject to wear and soiling. As a result, they must
undergo regular maintenance and cleaning:
— Torch neck
— Flexible metal hose
— Ball joint with plastic shells
— Cable assembly

Replacing wear parts, Fig. 6
NOTICE
Material damage through the use of unsuitable wear parts and mounting tools
The use of wear parts made by other manufacturers and the improper installation of wear parts can cause material damage to the welding torch and impair
work results.
► Use only original ABICOR BINZEL wear parts.
► Use the ABICOR BINZEL wrench for assembling and disassembling wear parts.
► Ensure that wear parts specific to the welding torch are correctly assigned.
► Ensure that the parts are installed in the correct order.
The torch neck can be fitted with various wear parts depending on the
welding task at hand.
7.1.1
Shortening and mounting the spiral liner, Fig. 4
1 Lay out the cable assembly straight.
2 At the central plug: unscrew the nut and screw on the holding sleeve.
3 At the central plug: pull out the spiral liner, replace it with a new one and
insert the stripped side into the central plug.
4 Turn the holding sleeve 180° and insert it onto the new spiral liner
(side without thread).
5 Use a cutter to cut off excess spiral liner so it is flush with the holding
sleeve.
EN - 36
3 Close the shielding gas cylinder valve.
4 Switch off the cooling unit.
The cleaning interval depends on the duty cycle and the terms of use.
Shortening the intervals can lead to:
— Very high duty cycles
— Welding of oily and/or coated parts
— High currents
► The order data and ID numbers for the equipment parts and wear parts
can be found in the current catalog.
► Mount spare and wear parts as shown in the figure.
6 Screw the collet onto the spiral liner as far as it will go.
7 Check the position of the wire guide through the visible drill hole.
8 Push the collet and spiral liner into the central plug as far as it will go.
9 Insert the holding sleeve into the central plug on the threaded side
and tighten.
10 At the central plug: manually tighten the nut.
