4.2 Storing the product
Damage due to incorrect storage
Unfavorable storage conditions can result in corrosion and material deteriora-
tion.
• Only store the product in locations which are dry, cool, and prevent corrosion.
• Protect the product from direct sunlight and UV radiation.
• Keep the product in its packaging until the time of installation.
• Also observe any additional storage information on the product packaging.
Elastomer parts
Pneumatic components typically have elastomer seals that are subject to a con-
stant process of aging.
• Products that have been stored for longer than 2 years have a shorter service
life.
• The aging process can be accelerated by heat and light (UV rays).

Compressed air connections
• Ensure that all compressed air connections are protected against contamina-
tion by protective caps.
• Tape open compressed air connections or provide them with suitable protec-
tive caps.

5 Product description
5.1 Brief description
The Sentronic 623 pressure regulator is a digital electronic proportional pressure
regulator. The pressure regulator is designed for various output pressures.
The product detects the output pressure and regulates an electrical set point into
a constant output pressure. The product controls pressure, flow, force, speed,
travel positions and angular positions. As an option, the product can control com-
plex control loops.
The product is used for the following tasks:
• Changing pressures electrically
• Adjusting pressures remotely
The product is factory calibrated.
