Cleaning, disinfection and maintenance
The following instructions for cleaning and disinfection are intended as a guide. Only use cleaning agents and disinfectants at
temperatures between 5°C and 50°C.
Important note!
Always observe the manufacturer's instructions for the cleaning agent or disinfectant used!
4.3.1
Cleaning
The surfaces are extremely easy to clean. A mild soap solution is sufficient to clean the upholstery cover and frame. For stubborn
stains, we recommend our HESS MultiClean cleaning agent (Art. H06-991 and H06-991.01). Please also observe the description
on the bottle label and the information in the safety data sheet.
Cleaning process:
1.
Use a cloth with a lukewarm soap solution and wipe off dirt with the cloth.
2.
Use a separate, clean cloth with clear water and wipe off any soap residue.
3.
Dry the upholstery with a cloth.
4.3.1.1
Cleaning the upholstery cover (if available)
The upholstery cover has a so-called sanitised surface with a permanent anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and anti-mycotic
effect.
Important note
▪
Correct and regular cleaning extends the life of the upholstery cover.
▪
The service life of the upholstery cover may be impaired if disinfectant is used incorrectly. Please refer to the chapter
on disinfectants.
▪
Do not place any colouring, hot or sharp objects on the upholstery. This can damage the upholstery cover.
▪
Denim fabrics in particular will permanently discolour the upholstery cover.
The guarantee / warranty only covers production defects. Discolouration, embrittlement and cracking of the upholstery cover are
excluded.
4.3.1.2
Cleaning the frame
Never use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or stainless steel care products to clean the frame. For lacquered surfaces, we recom-
mend HESS MultiClean, according to the instructions on the label. After each cleaning, we recommend wiping the frame with a
damp cloth and drying it.
4.3.2
Disinfection
We recommend the disinfectants labelled with a green traffic light in accordance with "IFU00-01_Cleaning and disinfection of
HESS covers". Pay particular attention to the solution concentration and proper handling in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions. Disinfectants can impair the service life of the upholstery cover if used incorrectly. Before using other disinfectants,
ask the manufacturer of the disinfectant about the suitability of the product.
Attention!
It is essential to ensure correct handling. Failure to do so can lead to brittleness, discolouration and cracking of the upholstery
cover within a short time!
