♦ Food to be frozen is not to be placed in direct contact with food in storage and if appropriate that it
could be necessary to reduce the quantity to be frozen if freezing every day is anticipated.
♦ To reduce the risk of poor performance ensure all baskets are used at all times.
♦ A frozen product must never be refrozen.
♦ Do not put bottles or cans of fizzy drinks in the freezer; they might explode.
♦ Do not consume ice lollies as soon as they come out of freezer to avoid cold burn.
To freeze fresh products:
Press the rapid freeze button and the yellow indicator light will illuminate.
Do not open the door of the freezer while freezing.
After 24 hours press the rapid freeze b utton again and the yellow indicator light will go off.
Keeping frozen products
♦ Frozen products can be grouped together leaving spaces between them for better freezing.
♦ When you buy a frozen product, make sure the packaging is intact, that there are no signs of
damp and that it isn't bulging, which would be a sign it has started to defrost.
♦ The recommended storage time indicated by the food product manufacturer must not be
exceeded.
♦ Avoid opening the door too frequently and only leave it open for the ne cessary time. An increase
in temperature can reduce the storage time of food.
In the event of a power cut, if the freezer is off for less than 20 hours, there is no risk to
frozen foods. However, do not open the door (the time it takes for the temperature to be
restored can be significantly reduced if the freezer is not very full). As soon as you notice
food is starting to defrost, it must be consumed as soon as possible.
Never refreeze food that has been defrosted.
Making ice cubes
Pour water into the ice cube tray until it is two thirds full, then place it into the freezer between the two
freezer packs which are positioned above the top basket. Ice cubes will form in 2 to 3 hours. The ice
cubes can be easily removed by twisting the ice tray whilst pouring cold water over the back of the ice
tray.
There are two freezer packs supplied, these are positioned above the top basket and should remain
in this position incase of any power failures, this will help to keep the temperature in the freezer for a
longer period of time.
