Switch off the device and pull the mains
plug out of the plug socket if an error
occurs during operation or before a
thunderstorm.

Always pull the mains plug and never
the mains cable to disconnect the device
from the mains power.

Do not carry or pull the device by the
connecting cable.

Protect the device from: heat sources,
fire, persistent moisture, wet conditions
and impacts.
■
Do not lay or place any heavy objects
on the device or the connecting cable.
BEFORE INITIAL USE
Clean the accessories before you first use
them as they may have possible production
residues on them. To do this, follow the
instructions in the "Cleaning and Storage"
chapter.
SET-UP AND CONNECTION

Inspect the device for damage each
time before you use it. Only use it if it
is undamaged and has been correctly
assembled!
■
Before each use, make sure that the feet
of the device are clean so that they do
not slip.
■
Never place the motor unit on a soft
surface. The ventilation openings on the
bottom of the motor unit must not be
covered. There is a danger of damage
from insufficient cooling.
■
Lay the connecting cable in such a way
that it does not present a trip hazard. The
connecting cable may not hang down
from the surface on which the device

is placed in order to prevent the device
from being pulled down.
■
Lay the connecting cable in such a way
that it does not become squashed or
bent and does not come into contact
with hot surfaces.
■
Only connect the device to a plug socket
that is properly installed and matches the
technical data of the device. The plug
socket must also be readily accessible
after connection so that the connection
to the mains can quickly be isolated.
■
Never insert the blade insert into the
motor unit without the blender jug.
■
If the blender jug is not inserted in the
motor unit correctly, the device cannot
be switched on.
Setting Up
1. Place the motor unit (1) on a kitchen unit
or another dry, flat and stable surface.
2. Screw the blade insert (2) clockwise onto
the blender jug (5).
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the seal-
ing ring (8) is clean and undamaged
and inserted in the blade insert so
that the blender jug does not leak.
3. Place the blender jug in the motor unit
with the blade insert at the front.

Attaching / Removing the Lid
5. Place the lid (4) on the blender jug so
that the mating pieces for the locking
lugs (10) are located next to the locking
lugs of the jug (Picture C1).
6. Twist the lid clockwise until the lid
engages in the locking lugs on the jug
(Picture C2).
7. Place the lid insert (3) in the refill open-
