Application
This appliance is an electric table grill
suitable for low-fat grilling of meat, fi sh,
poultry or vegetables.
The ribbed grill surface is particularly
suitable for grilling steaks, and the smooth
side for fi sh, vegetables or sausages.
Before using for the fi rst time
∙ Remove any packing materials
completely, before the appliance is used
for the fi rst time.
∙ The grill plate and fat collection tray
should be cleaned with a damp, lint-free
cloth. Wipe thoroughly dry afterwards.
∙ Then let the grill heat up for about 15
minutes with its hood closed, but without
any food. This will remove the smell
typically encountered when fi rst switching
on a grill. A little smoke may be emitted;
for that reason, adequate ventilation
should be ensured by opening windows or
balcony doors. Open the grill hood again
afterwards.
Indicator light
During the heating phase, the indicator
light on the thermostat comes on. Once the
pre-set temperature level is reached, the
light goes out.
Grill hood
The grill can be used with or without the
grill hood. However, for best results, we
recommend using it.
Thermostat
The thermostat serves to regulate the grill
temperature. We recommend using the lower
temperature range to keep food warm, the
medium range for sensitive food such as fi sh
or poultry, and the higher range for steaks,
sausages and vegetables.
Operation
Hint: For the very best results, meat
should be taken from the refrigerator
about half an hour before grilling, covered
and left to stand.
∙ Close the grill hood.
∙ Fit the fat collection tray into the appliance
from the back.
∙ Open the grill hood and fi t the grill plate.
The opening for excess fat drainage must
be to the rear, above the fat collection
tray.
∙ We recommend fi rst applying a light coat
of oil to the plate to prevent sticking.
∙ Close the grill hood.
∙ Insert the plug into a suitable wall outlet.
∙ Use the thermostat to set the desired
temperature level; the indicator light
comes on.
∙ Once the pre-set temperature has been
