NOTE
Small amounts of condensation can form in the feed hoses after long
shutdown periods and also due to high temperature fluctuations. To remove
condensation from within the cable assembly, actuate repeatedly the gas
pre-flow trigger until the condensation has been removed. The wear parts
need to be disassembled to do this.
We recommend carrying out this procedure before the start of daily work.
NOTE
• The plasma pilot arc is struck by a high frequency pulse when the trigger
(on the manual torch) is actuated and after a gas pre-flow time.
• Upon starting the pilot arc (via the soft start device), the cutting nozzle
must not touch the work-piece.
• Contact between the cutting nozzle and the work-piece leads to
malfunction of the soft start control.
• Use the accessories for optimum cutting nozzle distance from the work-
piece.
• The cutting arc is ignited on the work-piece. The cutting jet is interrupted
when contact to the work-piece is discontinued or the control voltage is
interrupted when the trigger is pressed.
• Please observe the required gas post-flow time for cooling the torch.
To prevent inadvertent ignition, put down the cutting torch in such a way that
the lever-type trigger cannot be actuated.
CAUTION

Risk of injury

• Prior to each cutting process, check your personal protective equipment.
NOTE
• All parameters required (such as the cutting current, soft start,
compressed air, etc.) must be set on the power source in accordance with
the cutting operation.
• Information and tips on the direct cutting process (technique, procedure,
materials, plasma...) are given in the relevant technical literature and not
in these operating instructions.
