Applying the arm cuff
1. Wrap the cuff around the upper arm,
about 1-2 cm above the inside of the
elbow, as shown in the figure to the right.
2. Place the cuff directly against the skin.
Clothing may cause a faint pulse,
and result in a measurement error.
Constriction of the upper arm, caused
by a tightly rolled up shirtsleeve, may
prevent accurate readings.
3. Confirm the arm protector is flat against
the arm as shown in the figure below.
4. Confirm that the index
in the figure to the right.
