Then follow steps 3 to 16 below to descale with the lemon mixture.
NOTE: You can also use a solution of 2 tablespoons (30ml) of white vinegar in one carafe of cold
water.
To descale with a descaler:
1.
Use a commercially available descaler for coffee makers and follow the instructions on the
package.

Unplug the coffee maker. Open the water tank lid (1) and then empty it by carefully tipping
over the coffee maker. Pour the water away from where the power cord is. Fill the water tank
(2) with the recommended amount of descaler and fill the rest of the tank with water up to the
maximum capacity of 10 cups.

Place the glass carafe (14) on the warming plate (7).

Make sure the filter (9) and brew basket (10) are in place. Press the on/off button (5), without
adding ground coffee, and let the appliance brew 1 cup of the descaling mixture.

Press the on/off button (5) to turn the appliance off.
Let the descaling mixture sit in the appliance for 15 minutes.

Repeat steps 4 to 6 once more.

Press the on/off button (5) and let the appliance brew until the water tank (2) is empty.

Press the on/off button (5) to turn the appliance off.

Discard the descaling mixture and wash the glass carafe (14) thoroughly.
Tap water rinsing procedure:
Fill the water tank (2) with tap water up to the maximum capacity of 10 cups.

Place the glass carafe (14) on the warming plate (7).

Press the on/off button (5) and let the appliance brew water (without adding ground coffee)
until the water tank (2) is empty.

Press the on/off button (5) to turn the appliance off.

Discard the water from the glass carafe (14).

Repeat steps 11 to 15 at least 3 times to ensure the appliance is rinsed thoroughly.
17.
Your coffee maker is now ready to use.
