17. Never use a damaged appliance! Unplug the appliance from

the electrical socket and contact the retailer if it is damaged.
18. Risk of electric shock! Do not try to repair the appliance
yourself. In the event of a malfunction, repairs must be carried out
by qualified personnel.
19. Do not use the appliance with wet hands or if you find yourself
on a wet floor. Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
20. Never under any circumstances open the appliance's housing.
Do not insert any foreign object in the housing.
21. Do not place any heavy objects on the appliance.
22. Do not place any objects that give off a flame (e.g. candles) on
or near the appliance. Do not place any objects containing water
(e.g. vases) on or near the appliance.
23. For additional protection, we recommend using a residual-
current device (RCD) whose breaking current does not exceed 30
mA installed in your appliance's supply electric circuit. The RCD
must be installed by a qualified electrician.
24. Risk of suffocation! Keep all packaging elements out of the
reach of children and babies!
25. Recycle the packaging elements in accordance with regulations.
Ask local authorities where collection centres and drop-off centres
are located.
26. Never misuse; otherwise, it may cause potential injury.
27. The surface of the heating element may remain hot for some
time after use.
28. The appliance shall not be placed in a cabinet when in use.
29. To prevent fire, electric shock or injury, only use accessories
recommended by the manufacturer.
30. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or
countertop, or touch a hot surface.
31. Do not place on or near a hot surface, gas or electric burner, or
a heated appliance such as an oven.
32. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended
use.
33. Do not place a hot carafe on a cold surface. Never use the
carafe if it is cracked or the handle is weakened or loose. Make
sure the carafe is place on the warming plate correctly during
brewing.
34. Do not operate the appliance without sufficient water in the
water tank.
