4. BEFORE FIRST USE
UNPACKING
1.
Unpack the appliance and all the accessories.
2.
Check for damage that may have occurred during transport. If the appliance or any accessory
is damaged or missing, do not use the appliance and return it to the dealer immediately.
3.
Fill the water tank with fresh water up to the 10-cup mark. Follow the next section to brew
water (without adding ground coffee) until the water tank is empty and discard the water.
Repeat 2 to 3 times.
4.
Before first use, follow the instructions in the CLEANING AND CARE section to clean the
removable accessories thoroughly.
5. OPERATING INSTRUCTONS
5.1. BREWING COFFEE
1.
Open the water tank lid (1).
2.
Use the glass carafe (14) to fill the water tank (2) with the required amount of fresh drinking
water. Make sure that the water level is not below the minimum 2-cup mark or above the
maximum 10-cup mark.
3.
Insert the brew basket (10) into the filter and brew basket holder (11) inside the coffee maker.
4.
Insert either the filter (9) provided into the brew basket (10).
NOTE: Make sure the brew basket (10) and filter (9) are correctly assembled otherwise the lid will
not close properly.
5.
Add ground coffee into the filter (9) and close the water tank lid (1).
NOTE: Add 1 level tablespoon of ground coffee for each cup of water and adjust to your taste.
6.
Place the glass carafe (14) with the lid closed on the warming plate (7).
7.
Plug the coffee maker into the wall socket.
8.
Press the on/off button (5) to turn the coffee maker on and start brewing. The on/off button
indicator light (6) will illuminate red.
9.
To stop brewing at any time, press the on/off button (5) and the indicator light (6) will turn off.
10.
Once brewing is complete, wait about 1 minute to allow the coffee to finish dripping into the
glass carafe (14).
