The AchilloStabil® Plus Sport support from BORT for Achilles tendon compression
supports damaged tissue structures (joints, ligaments, capsules and cartilage), in doing so
strengthens the retaining function of the ligaments, thus relieving the joint. At the same
time, this support helps to avoid incorrect movement to a large extent. The extended struc­
tured silicone pad results in a massage effect which reduces the swelling tendency or
contributes to the faster regression of existing swelling.
The snag proof material edge at the calf combined with the SOFTflex 3D knitted fabric
ensures a really soft and smooth fit.
COOLMAX® fibre wicks moisture away from the body, ensuring dry and pleasant wearing
comfort.
Instructions for use:
– Grasp the upper edge of the support and pull it over your foot.
– Ensure that the profile insert fully covers the Achilles tendon.
– Correct the positioning of the support as applicable.
Indications:
Chronic or post­traumatic irritation or tenderness in the Achilles tendon area, for example
in the case of Haglund syndrome heel irritation, achillodynia, condition after surgery, for
example in the case of Achilles tendon rupture or bursitis subachillea.
Contraindications:
Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD), lymphatic drainage disorders including unclear
soft tissue swelling distal to the positioned aid, sensory disturbances and circulatory disor­
ders in the specific body region, skin diseases in the specific part of the body.
Composition:
40 % polyamide (COOLMAX®), 40 % polyamide, 19 % elastane (LYCRA®), 1 % silicone
Important Note:
No re­use – this medical aid is intended for treating one patient.
If the support is to be worn at night, observe that the circulation is not impeded. In case of
feelings of numbness, loosen the support and remove it if necessary. In case of persistent
complaints, you should consult a doctor.
Neither use any creams nor ointments when wearing the support as they could damage
the material.
