Preliminary work
–
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand (see owner's manual).

Remove the front wheel (see owner's manual).
–
Remove the fork legs (see owner's manual).
–
Clean the fork legs.

Remove fork protection ring

Remove indicator ring

Warning
Danger of accidents Oil or grease on the brake discs reduces the braking effect.

Always keep the brake discs free of oil and grease.
–
Clean the brake discs with brake cleaner when necessary.

Stickers on the outside fork tube can be protected using masking tape.

The steps are the same on both sides.

Tip
Use a hot-air dryer to heat up the ring in order to make it more malleable.

Use side cutters for cutting, and protect the inside fork tube from damage.
