6. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
The induction hob
does not turn on.
The touch controls do
not work.
It is difficult to use the
touch icons.
The glass is damaged.
Some frying pans
make crackling or
popping noises.
The induction hob
makes a slight buzzing
sound when used at
high power.

Possible causes
There is no electricity.
The icons are locked.
The touch icons may be
slightly wet, or you may be
pressing them with your
fingertip.
Cookware with rough edges.
Use of inappropriate and
abrasive scouring pads or
cleaning products.
This is normal and may be
due to the construction of the
cookware (layers of different
metals vibrating differently).
This is normal and is due to
the induction technology, but
the noise should decrease
or disappear completely by
reducing the power setting.
Possible solution
Make sure that the hob is
connected to the power supply
and switched on.
Check if there has been a power
failure.

Unlock the icons. See section
"Operation/Unlocking the hob" for
instructions.
Make sure the touch icons are dry
and press them with the base of
your finger.
Use cookware with flat and
smooth bases. See the "Cookware
