4. Install fasteners – Feed coiled end of pull wire through forwardmost
mounting hole bottom of frame and out of enlarged Access Hole, both
sides. Attach 7/16" carriage bolts and 1/4" spacer blocks to pull wires
and pull the fasteners into position. Leave pull wires attached. See
Figures 5 & 6. Install 1/2" Flat Washer (Item 5) around 7/16" carriage
bolts to bottom of frame, secure with tape.

5b. Raise hitch into position with main crosstube and brackets behind the Bumper Fascia and feed the pull wires through forward holes in hitch. Loosely install
M14 bolts and Conical Washers into existing weldnuts inside of vehicle frame. With bolts and hitch in position, remove pull wires. Loosely install 7/16" Flat
Washers, Lock Washers and Hex Nuts onto the carriage bolts, both sides. Torque fasteners to specifications.

Tighten all M14-1.50 CL10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 89 Lb.-Ft. ( 121 N*M)

Tighten all 7/16-14 Gr5 fasteners with torque wrench to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M)

5a. Install hitch –Remove adhesive tape covering M14 weldnut inside of
frame, both sides.
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
For additional security, thread locker can be used on all fasteners.
