Insert a cassette.
Playback starts automatically.
Locating the Beginning of a Track
— AMS function
1 Press (3) .
2 Press << or PP, referring to the following table.
Desired track

Next track | Current track

Press B®. | Press <<.
The desired track may not be located if ...
— there is a noise in the space between tracks.
— the space is less than four seconds long.
— the <4 or BP button is pressed immediately before or after the
desired track, or with in the blank space.

The side facing down is being
played back.
To stop the tape playback and
listen to the radio
Press the EJECT button.
The unit enters the radio mode.
Playback may begin in the
middle of the track when AMS
is activated, as the followings
are treated as blanks:
— along pause in the track
— a passage of low frequencies
or very low volume
— gradual increase or decrease
of volume, as in some
classical music.
