1. Remove Underbody Panel - Using a flat pry tool, remove (12) push-pin fasteners; using a 10mm socket remove (3) hex nuts; using a 14mm socket loosen (1) plastic hex nut
and remove the panel.
2. Install Spacer Plates – Install Spacer Plates onto outer surface of frame rails. Align holes in Spacers with weldnuts in Frame. Secure Spacers in position with tape.
See Figure 2.
3. Install hitch – Raise hitch into position carefully moving around the orange power wires and hoses. Loosely install the M14 bolts and conical washers into existing weld nuts
in frame. NOTE: BE CAREFUL, DO NOT DAMAGE WIRING IN AREA OF HITCH. See Figure 3.
4. Tighten all M14-1.50 CL10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 89 Lb.-Ft. ( 121 N*M)
5. Trim Underbody Panel - measure, mark, and cut a notch in center of Underbody Panel approximately 4'' wide by 7" deep. See Figure 4.
6. Reinstall Underbody Panel – Using factory fasteners, reinstall the trimmed underbody panel removed in Step 1.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which
has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety
specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.

For additional security, thread locker can be used on all fasteners.
