After striking a foreign object, stop the motor, remove the battery pack, thoroughly
inspect the snow shovel for any damage, and repair the damage before restarting
and operating the snow shovel.
◾
If the machine should start to vibrate abnormally, stop the machine and check
immediately for the cause. Vibration is generally a warning of trouble.
◾
Stop the machine whenever you leave the operating position, before unclogging
the auger assembly housing, and when making any repairs, adjustments or
inspections.
◾
When clearing, repairing or inspecting the snow shovel, stop the machine and
make certain the auger assembly has stopped. Remove the battery pack to
prevent someone from accidentally starting the machine.
◾
Exercise extreme caution when operating on slopes.
◾
Never operate the snow shovel without proper guards and other safety protective
devices in place and working.
◾
Never direct the discharge toward people or areas where property damage can
occur. Keep children and others away.
◾
Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature.
Exposure to fire or temperature above 265°F (130°C) may cause explosion.
◾
Do not overload the machine capacity by attempting to clear snow at too fast a
rate.
◾
Disengage power when snow shovel is transported or not in use.
◾
Use only accessories approved by the manufacturer of the snow shovel.
◾
Never operate the snow shovel without good visibility or light. Always be sure of
your footing, and keep a firm hold on the handles. Walk; never run.
CLEARING A CLOGGED AUGER ASSEMBLY
Hand contact with the rotating auger assembly is the most common cause of injury
associated with snow shovel. Never use your hand to clean out the rotating auger
assembly.
To clear the auger assembly:

SHUT THE MACHINE OFF!
◾
Remove the battery pack from the machine.
◾
Wait 10 seconds to be sure the auger has stopping rotating.
◾
Always use a clean-out tool, not your hands.
