5. Apply a layer of engine lubricant on the filter
element and squeeze it out.
6. Reinstall the filter element into the air cleaner
unit.
7. Reinstall the air filter cover plate (C).
8. Reinstall the side maintenance cover(A) of the
unit.
Charging the Battery by Battery Float Charger
(When the Unit is Not Running)
To ensure the battery remains charged, the supplied
battery float charger should be plugged into the
generator. Plug the charger into the charging inlet on
the generator control panel and then plug the other
side of charger into a 120V outlet on the wall. There
is a light on the charger. This light will remain red
until the battery get charged and then it will be
changed to green. The charger won't charge the
battery or will stop charging when the light is green
to prevent any damage to battery and generator.
Unplug battery charger from the wall outlet and
generator control panel when generator is going to
be used.

Battery Replacement
WARNING
Burn hazard. The battery contains sulfuric acid
(electrolyte) which is highly corrosive and poisonous.
Wear protective clothing and eye protection when
working near the battery. Keep children away from
the battery.

CAUTION
Battery posts, terminals contain lead and lead
compounds. Wash hands after handling.
1. Unscrew the knobs and remove the maintenance
cover(A).
2. Loosen the lock nuts (B) and remove the battery
holding plate(C), It is recommended to use a 10mm
ratcheting box end wrench.
3. Replace the battery with a new battery.
Battery Specification: 12V, 5Ah sealed lead acid.
LxWxH: 4.4x2.8x3.5 inches (113x70x88mm).
4. Put the battery back in place and fix it with nuts
and battery cover plate.
5. Reinstall the maintenance cover(A).

Dispose of the used battery properly according to the
guidelines established by your local or state

Spark Plug Maintenance
The spark plug must be properly gapped and free of
deposits in order to ensure proper engine operation.
To check:
1. Unscrew the knobs and remove the maintenance
cover.
2. Remove the spark plug cap (B).
3. Clean any dirt from around base of spark plug.
4. Remove spark plug (A) using provided wrench.
5. Inspect spark plug for damage, and clean with a
wire brush before reinstalling. If insulator is
cracked or chipped, spark plug should be replaced.
6. Measure plug gap. The correct gap is 0.028-0.031
