6. Charging the battery
NOTES:
Fully charge the battery before using it
for the first time.
It takes approx. 16 hours to fully charge
the battery.
Place the toothbrush 5 on the peg of
the battery charger 7 after use. This en-
sures that the toothbrush 5 always
works at full power. The battery is not
damaged by regular charging.
1. Plug the mains plug 9 of the battery
charger 8 into a suitable wall socket.
The wall socket must still be easily acces-
sible after connection.
2. Place the switched-off toothbrush 5 onto
the peg of the battery charger 7.
The charging indicator light 11 is lit red
throughout the entire charging process.
When the optimal charging state has
been reached, the charging indicator
light 11 turns green.

Toothbrush 5 on the battery charger 8:

Charging indicator light 11 is lit green:
the battery is fully charged.

Charging indicator light 11 is lit red:
the battery is being charged.
Toothbrush 5 switched on:

The toothbrush 5 switches itself off and
the charging indicator light 11 flashes
red: the battery is weak. Charge the
battery.

7. Toothbrush heads
The items supplied include 2 toothbrush
heads 2.
The various marking rings 3 allow you to as-
sign the toothbrush heads 2 to different fam-
ily members.
• Take a toothbrush head 2 and slide it
onto the shaft of the toothbrush 4.
• In order to remove, carefully pull the
toothbrush head 2 off upwards.
• Figure B: the indicator bristles 12 on
the brush head 1 slowly lose their col-
our during use. The decolouration
shows when the toothbrush heads 2
should be replaced.
NOTE: we recommend that you replace the
toothbrush heads 2 every 3 months or after
infections (see "Ordering toothbrush heads"
on page 9).
8. Operation
CAUTION:
Users could possibly experience mild
bleeding of the gums during the first
days of electric toothbrush usage.
Should the bleeding continue over sev-
eral days, a dentist should be consulted.
If you have had dental surgery in the
last two months, consult a dentist before
using the toothbrush.
Exert only light pressure when brushing
to prevent damage to the gums and to
increase the service life of the bristles.
