15.
NEVER use attachments other than those provided with the appliance or
offered separately from Vitamix. The use of attachments not sold or
recommended by Vitamix may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
16.
ALWAYS ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power outlet before
attempting to assemble any of the attachments.
17.
If using the appliance to blend hot food, keep hands and other exposed skin
away from the lid opening and use the lowest speed setting to avoid burns
from escaping steam or splashes.
18.
Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance or container filled
with hot oil or other hot liquids. Escaping steam or splashes may scald.
19.
NEVER touch surfaces that may be hot.
20. If during use, the sound of the appliance changes or if a hard or foreign
object comes into contact with the blending blades, NEVER serve the food
being made with the appliance.
21.
NEVER remove ingredients from the appliance during operation. Ensure
the motor has completely stopped and the appliance is unplugged before
removing any ingredients.
22. If food becomes lodged around the blending blades, release the trigger
switch, unplug the power cord and remove the attachement from the motor
body. Use a spatula to dislodge the food. NEVER use fingers as the blending
blades are sharp.
23. Keep hands, hair, clothing, and utensils away from all moving parts during
operation to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons and/or damage to
the appliance. A spatula may be used, but only when the appliance is not
running.
24. NEVER leave any foreign object, such as spoons, forks, or knives, in the
container as this will damage the blending blades and other components
when starting the blender and may cause injury.
25. NEVER add to the immersion blending jar while the appliance is operating.
ALWAYS turn OFF the immersion blender, remove the appliance from the jar,
add ingredients to the jar, and restart blending.
