CONNECTION TO THE WATER SUPPLY NETWORK
The appliance is a water heater, in which the discharge of hot water is controlled by a valve installed
in the cold water inlet. When the valve is opened, cold water enters the storage tank and displaces the hot
water through the outlet of the faucet. While in operation, the appliance is filled with water. During
heating, the expanding water leaks through the outlet of the faucet. Do not try to stop this leakage by
tightening the valve, as this may damage the faucet seal. The connection is shown in Figure 1.
WHEN CONNECTING THE FAUCET TO THE APPLIANCE, DO NOT USE ANY SEALING MATERIAL OTHER
THAN THE RING SEAL PROVIDED WITH THE SPECIAL OPEN OUTLET FAUCET.
THE OUTLET IS RESPONSIBLE FOR AERATION, AND THEREFORE, THE WATER HEATER CAN BE
CONNECTED TO THE WATER NETWORK USING THE DEDICATED, SPECIAL OPEN OUTLET FAUCET ONLY.
THE APPLIANCE IS DESIGNED FOR LONG LASTING CONNECTION ENABLING THE WITHDRAWAL OF
WATER; DO NOT USE ANY SEALING KIT!
DO NOT INSERT ANY CLOSING OR CHOKING MECHANISM IN THE HOT WATER PIPE OF THE WATER
HEATER OR OUTLET OF THE FAUCET.
DO NOT USE EXTENSION HOSE ON THE OUTLET OF THE FAUCET.
DURING HEAT-UP, DO NOT PREVENT WATER LEAKAGE.
COMMISSIONING WITH A FITTING WITH A PULL-OUT SHOWER HOSE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE
DEVICE AND IS THEREFORE PROHIBITED.
To avoid damages in the water heater caused by the stagnation pressure [stagnation pressure: the
pressure generating when the flow of water is restricted] produced by the flow of water, it is necessary to
take into account the highest possible local water pressure. Information on the highest possible water
pressure can be obtained from the waterworks.
If the pressure of the water supply network exceeds 0.6 MPa, use a pressure reducer when connecting the
appliance. The pressure reducer must be adjusted, so that the stagnation pressure in the tank cannot
exceed 0.1 MPa, even when the cold and hot water taps are fully opened.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The electrical connection must comply with the relevant safety regulations and the requirements
set out by the electricity supplier.
The appliance is of contact protection class I, and it must be operated from a network with protective
earthing compliant with the IEC 60364 standard.
The circuit and all elements of the connection must withstand loading (of at least 10A current).
The appliance must be positioned in such way that the mains plug must be accessible in the course of
proper use.
The water heater is delivered with a 500 mm long, 230 V, 3x1 mm
If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced in order to avoid any danger. Such replacement must be
performed by the manufacturer, its service support or a similarly qualified professional.
WE ASSUME NO LIABILITY FOR INJURIES CAUSED BY THE FAULT OF THE PROTECTIVE EARTHING OF THE
ELECTRICAL NETWORK, OR A DAMAGED OR EXTENDED MAINS CABLE.
