supply.
▪
Turn the thermostat to MAX. The control lamp lights up green to indicate that the appliance is heating up.
Once the green control lamp goes out, the appliance has warmed up to the set temperature.
▪
After 20 minutes, turn the thermostat to 0.
▪
ATTENTION: Upon the first use, there might be a slight odor or smoke output. This is normal.
▪
Turn off the appliance again, pull the cord from the socket.
▪
Let the appliance cool down completely.
3. START TO GRILL
▪ Completely unroll the power cord, and plug in the appliance in a 230 V socket.
▪ Turn the appliance on by means of the thermostat button.
▪ ATTENTION: the appliance will now get hot. Let the appliance heat up for about 10 minutes. If you heat it too
much the stone gets too hot and you will not get optimal results.
▪ Put the chosen food on the baking plates or in the pans and put them under the grill.
▪ ATTENTION: do NOT use frozen food! If you use defrosted food, make sure to pat the excess fluid with a paper
towel, otherwise you will not get a perfect result.
▪ Place the stone on the side on the base where the control lamps are located. The grease groove should be facing
up. Place the grill surface on the other side of the base. Here you can choose whether to use the ribbed grill
surface or the smooth surface.
▪ The grill plate takes 10 minutes to heat up.
▪ Stone:
o The stone takes 30 minutes to heat up.
o TIP: Sprinkle some salt on the stone to avoid burnt-on food.
o ATTENTION: the stone may NEVER be in contact with acid food of with food seasoned with vinegar,
mustard, pickles, ...
o The heat causes the stone to expand, which can result in small cracks. This is a natural process and
has no influence on the working of the appliance.
o After a couple uses the stone turns darker, this is normal for a natural stone.
o ATTENTION: never place the stone in the dishwasher.
o TIP: To remove unwanted odours, such as fish smell, rub the stone grill with lemon juice.
▪ Do not use sharp utensils to turn or (re)move the food as they could damage the non-stick coating of the plate or
pans.
▪ After use pull out the plug and switch off the appliance.
▪ Let the appliance cool off entirely before moving it, removing the baking plates or cleaning them.
4. CLEANING
▪ Pull the plug from the socket.
▪ Let the appliance cool off entirely before removing the plates.
▪ The grill plate, the pans and the spatulas are dishwasher proof. But if you choose to clean them by hand with hot
water and detergent, make sure NEVER to use stiff washing-up brushes, only a soft cloth!
▪ The stone is NOT dishwasher proof! The stone cannot be soaked in water. Clean the stone in the sink under
running water with a sponge (without detergent) and dry off immediately. If the stone is very dirty, you can clean
it with water and soda crystals (but do not let it soak!)
▪ The base and housing of the appliance can be cleaned with a damp cloth. NEVER immerse these parts in water or
in any other liquid.
