Safety instructions according to
ISO 8437 Annex A
Training
1. Read through the operating instructions and
maintenance instructions carefully. Familiar-
ise yourself with the controllers and the cor-
rect use of the appliance. In particular, find
out how you can immediately halt the appli-
ance and switch off the controllers.
2. Never let children operate the appliance.
Adults must not use the appliance without
proper instructions. Please note that locally
applicable regulations may limit the age of
the user.
3. Keep all persons, especially young children
and pets away from the application range of
the appliance.
4. Be careful that you do not slip or fall, espe-
cially when you are moving backwards.
5. Please note that the operator or user of the
appliance is responsible for accidents or dan-
gers with regard to other people and proper-
ty.
Preparation
1. Carefully check the area in which the appli-
ance is to be used and remove all foot mats,
sleds, boards, cables and other objects.
2. Loosen all couplings and put the appliance
into idle before switching on the engine.
3. Do not use the appliance without donning the
appropriate winter clothing. Wear shoes that
ensure you can stand securely on slippery
ground.
4. Set the height of the worm shaft in order to
remove pebbles and gravel.
5. Never make adjustments when the engine is
running (except on special advice of the man-
ufacturer).
6. Allow the engine and appliance to cool to the
outside temperature before clearing snow
with the appliance.
7. When using electric tools, foreign objects can
be thrown up and get into your eyes. Always
wear protective glasses or eye protection
during operation or when making adjust-
ments or repairs.
