Disconnect the part of the circuit to be checked from the energy source
Place the switch on the voltmeter position
Connect the instrument according to the diagram (red terminal to the earth to
measure insulation resistance compared to the earth)
Check that the circuit isn't live (no movement of the needle)
Put the switch on an adequate position
Turn the handle until the orangish indicator on the right of the instrument lights
up
Take the reading :
i f t h e r e d i n d i c a t o r s i t u a t e d o n t h e l e f t o f
the instrument is lit multiply the reading
by 10 to get the result
Let the circuit discharge
(a few seconds) before
disconnecting the instrument.
